The rim is offered in two different internal widths, 23.5mm and 25mm, allowing you to  pick the rim width to suit your preferred tire width and riding style.

Innovation in Every Fiber: Molded Directional Spoke Holes

The secret to the 520 TCD UL’s incredible weight-to-strength ratio lies in its molded, directional spoke holes. Unlike traditional rims where holes are drilled after curing—a process that cuts structural fibers—we mold the spoke holes directly into the rim.

This advanced method allows us to precisely reinforce the highest stress points throughout the rim, guided by lasers for perfect placement. The spoke holes are also molded directionally to match specific hub geometries (like the DT Swiss 240), ensuring a perfect build and optimal load distribution. This targeted reinforcement, combined with premium T700/T800 and T1100 carbon fibers, creates an impossibly light rim without compromising on strength or durability.

Ultra-Precise 1k Winding Process

The 520 TCD UL’s outer shell is built using our latest ultra-precise 1k filament winding process. Each carbon tape contains exactly 1,000 fibers, allowing for incredibly precise fiber placement and an exceptionally smooth, void-free structure.

Think of it like building with LEGO® – using smaller bricks allows you to create a more detailed, precise structure. This refined process delivers a flawless, uncoated Class-A finish and allows for better gas evacuation during curing, resulting in a uniform carbon structure with superior compaction.
