Venn 440 Helix gravel carbon wheelset

The Venn 440 Helix: 44 mm 1k filament wound carbon rims on the Venn Helix-01 hubs, 1320 g a pair.

An aero gravel wheel: 44 mm of carbon and a 32 mm internal width for fast, wide tyres. The 440 TCD UL rims are 32 mm wide inside, for 40 to 50 mm gravel tyres.

72T helical engagement: no free play under power.

In the Venn Helix-01 hub the drive forces the ratchet rings together along a helix: the harder you pedal, the tighter they mesh. 72 teeth engage within 5 degrees, and under power there is no play left to take up, out of the saddle, sprinting or on a steep climb.

Built to roll under load.

Beside its two 6902 bearings, the rear hub runs a 41.5 mm nano-coated angular contact bearing. An angular contact bearing takes side loads as well as radial ones, so it keeps its alignment under the weight of a rider and the force of a sprint, and the wheel keeps rolling freely when it matters. The shell is cold forged, the 15 mm axle is 7075-T6 aluminium, and the ratchets are forged and CNC machined SCM 415 steel. Made in Taiwan.

1k filament wound rims, no clear coat.

Each carbon tape carries exactly 1,000 fibres, so every fibre goes where it is needed. The 440 TCD UL rim weighs 350 g and carries no clear coat: gloss, matte or the 25k filament wound surface, all at the same price.

Sapim CX-Ray spokes, 24 front and rear.

The benchmark bladed steel spoke on race wheels: light, aero, and any shop anywhere can true or replace one.
