Venn 780 TCC SL: deep-section speed for rim-brake bikes
The Venn 780 TCC SL brings a 78mm deep carbon rim to rim-brake road, triathlon and time trial bikes, at 570g (±15g).
Profile
The 21mm internal and 28mm external width suits 25–28mm tires. Drilled 20 holes for the front wheel and 24 for the rear; ERD 484.2mm.
Ultra-precise 1k filament winding
The outer shell is wound with our 1k process: every carbon tape carries exactly 1,000 fibres, so each fibre goes precisely where it is needed. Think of it like building with LEGO® – smaller bricks make a more detailed, more precise structure. The narrow tape also lets gas escape more easily during curing, which gives a uniform, well-compacted laminate and a smooth, uncoated Class-A surface.
Tubeless ready
The hooked bead takes tubeless tires as well as standard clinchers with inner tubes. Run tubeless with sealant and most punctures seal themselves before you notice them.
Braking
The 780 TCC SL has a carbon brake track. Use carbon-specific pads, such as our Venn Red pads, and bed them in before your first long descent.
Tool access holes or a sealed bed
Order the rim with tool access holes (fit tubeless tape) or without them for a true tubeless bed that needs no tape at all. The sealed version takes external nipples only.
Your finish, your decals
Choose gloss uncoated or matte uncoated – both show the wound carbon, with no paint or clear coat added. Decals come in black, or leave them off for a clean, unbranded rim.
