We hold, or have under registration multiple patents dealing with aerodynamics, carbon fiber composites and carbon fiber composite product manufacturing technologies.
The Venn philosophy is to deliver cutting edge products using a combination of the most advanced composite product manufacturing methods and functional design, at previously unattainable price-performance levels. The initial products that embody this philosophy are the industry changing filament wound technology (VAR, FWT) carbon fiber composite rims - the Venn Var and Rev series, and innovative composite rims made through an advanced manual layup process - the continuous tangent layup (CTL) rim series. Both the VAR/FWT and CTL rims are available under the Venn brand, or under your custom brand. In addition to VAR/FWT and CTL rims we also offer Venn or custom branded handmade wheels made with our rims and lightweight but durable hubs. The Venn Rev rims and wheels have already attracted industry praise, as well as a prestigious 2015 EuroBike Awards, 2015 d&i Award managed by iF Design forum, and 2016 Golden Pin Design Awards.

WINNERS OF MULTIPLE AWARDS
Our filament wound rim range won several of the highest honours in the bicycle and technology industry with filament winding being recognized as the most interesting carbon rim manufacturing technology in the world.
In filament winding a continuous tow of fibers is wound on steel mandrels. FWT process uses dry fibers which are passed through a bath of resin and wound onto a revolving mandrel by traversing longitudinally along the axis of the rotating mandrel. The new VAR process utilises preimpregnated carbon fiber slit tape wound directly into a torroidal steel mandrel.
The advantages of the VAR process over the FWT (Rev) are:
- superior strength and stiffness
- better aerodynamics giving better handling and lower drag
- consistent quality through use of X-Ray machines to scan the rims
- ability to use wider gravel bike tires at higher pressures due to stronger tire bed
Both FWT and VAR processes result in optimal, continuous fiber placement under tension. The benefits – higher manufacturing uniformity, better performance and greater durability.

Venn Rev 35, 507 and 77 rim series are the only OEM rims with wind tunnel data. You can be confident that our rims do not just look aerodynamic, but that they are actually aerodynamic. The results show that the Venn Rev 35, 507 and 77 rims compare very well to much deeper profile rims while offering superior handling in cross winds and lower weight
